What’s the best way to get around Warsaw?

The metro is efficient and affordable so is a great way to move between districts. However, the metro was built with commuters in mind so while it is good for moving in and out of the city, it won’t take you directly to any tourist attractions. The metro runs every 3-10 minutes from early morning until 00:00 and there are special night lines operating until 03:00 on weekends. Buses are a fantastic option for tourist and they run regularly day and night. They can get a little crowded during rush hours and if traffic is bad, your journey can take a while. To avoid traffic jams, you can also take the tram. While the tram isn’t quicker than the bus in normal circumstances, the tram doesn’t get caught up in traffic so is often a better option.
